Rolling Part II

This week has been full of learning! Tuesday morning, I figured out how to roll over from my back to my belly. I like this new trick, and I can't quit doing it. Diaper changes, in my bouncer seat, on my play mat...I dig this rolling over thing. Above is how mom found me the other morning. Below is a video of me in action.

I am also having fun playing with my keys. I first thought that they were just fun to shake and put in my mouth. Then I figured out how to make them light up.

With the weather continuing to be pretty nice, mom and I have been out and about quite a bit. We went for a run this week with Emerson and his mom, Lauren. It made for a good nap for us boys. Mom decided to try my hat on me. Of course she took lots of pictures of me in it. The rest of the pictures are from church (me in my first polo shirt), playing with mommy, and hanging out time with daddy.

Oh the Madness!

Hey everybody!
With parents like mine it's no surprise that this week I've been taking in all the greatness that is the NCAA tourney. It has been a blast so far. I dig watching sports while sitting on daddy's lap. Does it get any better than 48 games in one weekend? I keep hearing about "brackets" and look forward to figuring out what that is about someday.

We've been really busy the past week too. I am fully recovered from my bout with the cold. I got to see my family last Saturday to celebrate my great-grandma's birthday.
I love my grandma and grandpa, and they love me!
Me and the birthday girl :)
My Mimi makes me smile
Great-uncle Tom helping me drift off for my nap
Me and Shell hanging out
Then we got together with our small group family to watch the games Thursday night. That was fun, and the food was delicious. I like hanging out with my buddy Emerson.
Friday, my friends Jared and Gabby came to stay with us. They hadn't seen me since I was two weeks old. I've changed a lot since then, so there was quite a bit to catch up on.
Rykerman!

Message from the front lines...

Well, friends, it has been a tough week. I have been in a heated battle with cough and congestion and am still writing from the thick of the fight. I think I've got them on their heels. Perhaps tomorrow I will throw my knock out punch.
Needless to say we've been laying low this week. Monday I felt the first signs hit me. Nights have been pretty restless, days have been full of coughing and sneezing, and there were even a couple of fevers to fight off. I'm back in good spirits, at least, and ready for the weekend!
On the homefront, mom got a new toy yesterday. Our new digital camera arrived just in time for spring. Mom has been a little crazy with the thing today. The latest installment of photographs were stolen moments right before I got dressed today.

Mom also got me my first pair of shades. Watch out ladies!

Hungry as a hippo...

Perhaps it is a growth spurt. I don't know. One thing is certain: I've been a very hungry boy this week. Wednesday, mom decided that feeding me every two hours was just too exhausting for her. So, we gave solid foods a try. This time it went much better. I enjoyed it! I've been eating rice cereal for four days. I still eat every two to three hours, but mom gets a break this way. And yes, I'm eating without a bib in those pictures. I live on the edge!
Dad has been sick since Wednesday and passed it on to mom Saturday. I hope I don't get it! I'll let you know if I manage to stay away from this bug. With two tuckered parents, we have spent a lot of time on the couch reading, playing, and napping this weekend.

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling!

So, I did something last Sunday that seemed to have the parents raving and me wondering what all the fuss was about...I rolled over. I'm hanging out, having my tummy time, and I decided why not see what was going on behind me. I rolled over. Next thing I know, Daddy and Grandma Brenneman are yelling to Mommy (who had stepped into the kitchen) the "big" news. Mom comes running back in the family room and they put me on my belly again. Didn't they see that I kind of wanted to relax on my back? Guess not, so I rolled right back over again. Periodically, throughout this week, Mommy has been giving me some extra tummy time, but I just didn't feel like rolling...until this afternoon. Must be a Sunday thing. I was relaxing on my belly once again and rolled over. This prompted Mommy to grab the camera and put me back on my belly. Silly grown ups. I figured this was my first chance to get in a live action film, so I took the bait. It wasn't as quickly as I usually do it, but why hurry when you're the star of the show? Hope you enjoy my first movie!

That's a wrap! Time to nap :)
