Dancing, Selling, Splashing, and Smiling

I am a dancing machine! This week I discovered that this guy has moves. (It really wasn't a surprise because we'd already established that I had rhythm when I started drumming on everything.) The other night at dinner, mom shot a video of me doing my little dance. I break out a bit of a song in the middle as a special treat for you.

Saturday we had a garage sale. It was different to be on the selling end of things this time. I think I like the buying better. A nice old man offered to buy me...Mommy told him I definitely wasn't for sale. Then, Grandma and Grandpa came down to spend the day with us, since we didn't get to see Grandpa for Father's Day. Miss Mimi came over to see me, too. What a great day! I don't have pictures of that though, because I was busy wheeling and dealing! Here's a good one of me with Nana and Poppa (that's what I call them).

After the sale, it was time for some splashing. My parents got me this cool turtle pool. Sadly, it wouldn't hold air so after this brief swim it went back to Target. No worries, I'll get another one.Summer is so much fun! Earlier in the week Emerson and I hit the pool at his neighbor's house. I think this may be a weekly event.
Of course spending time with my family makes me smile :)
Grandma taught me how to drink out of a big boy's cup.
I couldn't get enough!
Hope you all have a safe and fun 4th of July!

Daddy's First Father's Day

This weekend we traveled to Goshen to visit my Daddy's family to celebrate his first Father's Day. I hadn't seen most of them since Christmas time, and as you know, I have changed quite a bit in the last several months. We arrived to Grandma's on Friday and spent the evening catching up with my aunt, uncle, and cousins.
My Aunt Genessa is so sweet. She is going to have another baby in a few months...and that will make four cousins!
My cousins and I all gathered around my Daddy.
Photo opportunity for Mom.
My cousin Cadence makes me laugh.
Do you think my cousin Kyrie and I look similar?

Brayson and I wearing our matching outfits.
Me chilling with Uncle Tyler.
The sun was shining and the temps were soaring Saturday. While Dad installed a firepit for Grandma, I decided to take a dip in the pool. I loved it!

Relaxing in the pool.
Look how high I can splash!
Sun kissed.
I'm a water baby!
Saturday night, our extended family came over to visit. It was great to see everyone, meet my second cousin Grace, and see some of my Dad's aunts and cousins again.
Me and my Great Aunt Connie.

This is my Dad and his cousin Matthew and me and my second cousin Gracie. Daddy and Matthew celebrated their first Father's Day!
Cassie let me do lots of bouncing while Carrie tried to get me to talk.
Great Aunt Nancy gave me lots of squeezes.
Sunday was Father's Day! I made Daddy a photo mug and calendar for his big day. I tried to be on my best behavior and mom changed all my diapers so Dad could just relax. I spent a lot of time with Dad. I hope I grow up to be like him. He's my hero. I love my Daddy!

Take me out to the ballgame!

Hey there, baseball fans! Welcome to the friendly confines of Ryker's blog. This week isn't over, but there's so much to tell you that I had to blog early. I'll be posting early next week about my daddy's first Father's Day and my visit with family, but today I'll tell you about all the developments of the past few days.
First, I got a high chair and big boy car seat. This might not sound like such a big deal, but to this guy it means a lot! I get to eat at the table and start learning to feed myself and with the new car seat I won't feel all cramped when we go on car rides. Yea! A big thanks to Grandma Brenneman for my new gear!
Next, I added a new activity to my nightly routine: I am brushing my teeth. Here's my first brushing.
Then, mom snapped some photos of me in my tub. Again, not such a big deal, but she thinks they make for some super cute pictures.

I love to splash.
Rubber ducky, you're the one!
Last night I took in my very first baseball game! Daddy liked to play baseball and still plays softball in the summers (I have already taken in a couple of his games and seen a few of his homeruns...GO DADDY!), but last night we watched our minor league Indians from the lawn in the outfield.
I had a great time with all our small group friends.
I watched some of the game from dad's lap but most of it on a comfy blanket.

Mr. Vance let me try on his cool shades.
What a great night!
This is me doing my 7th inning stretch.
Last, but certainly not least, I am crawling! Yesterday, daddy suggested that I get down on the floor to see if I would crawl. Not wanting to disappoint (right before Father's Day) I moved forward. Mom took a little video for your enjoyment.

Thanks for checking in early! Have a fantastic Father's Day!

Babble Boy

Hi again!
It's official: I am talking. Mommy and Daddy were bamboozled into letting me stay up late on Friday night (I turned on the water works and they caved). I decided to reward their good behavior, and with Father's Day around the corner I set my sights on making Daddy smile. While playing and making all kinds of random noises I let out a string of "da da"s. They seemed to like it so much, my pop especially, that I just kept on saying it. It was all I wanted to say...until Saturday. Maybe it was Mom's sweet requests, or possibly I felt like I owed her one for getting up every few hours with me a couple nights ago. I decided to rattle off a bunch of "ma ma"s. Oh, was I in the driver's seat! They both were thrilled. I can officially speak! Here are videos of me saying my two favorite words. Mom shot these when I first figured it out. As the day went on I actually learned to repeat the right one when they would say it first. I'm such a quick learner.

As promised in my last post, below are a few of the pics from the photo shoot that Emerson and I had. I've also added some pictures from my adventures the past week.
Serious and solemn. This one makes Mommy melt.
Cheese ball!
My close up.
Emerson and I on our best behavior.
Silly boys!
After saying "da da" Friday, Mom thought it would be cute to put me in my AU t-shirt.
Me playing with Bilbo's rings. It's amazing how similar his toys look to mine.
My new facial expression...I have been cracking Mommy up this week by sticking my tongue out like this.
See you next week with highlights from my Daddy's first Father's Day!
