Summer Fun

This week included swimming, a trip to visit my family, a softball tournament, and a day at the park. I love summer time!
The weather was pretty great this week. Mommy and I went for a few runs. My favorite part of the warm weather, though, is getting to take a dip in the pool.Mimi and Mommy took me to Peru on Thursday. Mommy had a meeting and Mimi wanted to see the wonderful world of stationery! Of course, we all know that mostly everyone just wanted an excuse to see me. I got to see my Great Grandma and my Great Aunt there, as well. What a treat! I met all kinds of nice people. I can't wait to see them all again. I loved visiting American Stationery! Grandpa told me all about the paper and how they make it to look so nice. Great Grandma and I talked about how big I am getting. Owi the Great and Nana always make me smile. All the excitement had me a little tuckered, so I fell asleep in Papaw's arms.
Mommy's cousin Emili was down here for the week. I got to see her a lot, which I liked, though I wish it were under better circumstances. Hospitals aren't fun. I am so grateful that she and the baby are doing well.
It's hard to believe, but the weekend brought even more fun. Daddy had a softball tournament in town. Grandma and Grandpa drove down for that. Lucky for me, Uncle Evan and Mr. Vance play on Daddy's team, so I got to spend a lot of time with Aunt B and Mimi. Yea!
Sunday after church we got together with our Sunday school class and had a picnic in the park. It was great! After eating a delicious meal seated across the table from my favorite little lady, the lovely Allison, I got to play with Emerson. We chase each other around now. We were drawn to the rugby ball because we'd never seen one before AND because it was bright orange. I played soccer, too. I also let Mommy get my new trick on camera. I started doing this thing with my lower lip. It looks as though I'm upset, but I'm not. It makes everyone laugh so now I do it all the time.

One of my other favorite things to do at home is to climb in between the legs of the table and stand up. Daddy caught that one on camera yesterday. This week I started going up the stairs. I made it all the way up on my first attempt without problem (don't worry, Mommy and Daddy were there to make sure I didn't fall). Sadly, there were problems with the video--namely Mom recorded it sideways without realizing that video can't rotate like a picture...she's learning too :) Maybe I'll do that again for my parents next week.
Talk to you soon!
